Here’s To Five Years Of Cowbell!
Urban Growler Brewing Company is turning 5. They have been beer for us for nearly half a decade and on Saturday, August 10th, it is time to party! The festivities start at 11:30am and go until 11pm when they close. As someone who has shut this thing down the last two years, I can tell you it is a grand time. Of course, it should come as no surprise to anyone that Urban Growler knows how to throw a party. After all, Urban Growler is the only women-owned brewery in Minnesota; they can do anything!
Over the years, Urban Growler has been a bastion of community and inclusivity. Their beers are diverse and well-made. Their staff is one of the best and friendliest you will find in Minnesota. It will be fun to cheers with Deb Loch and Jill Pavlak, the co-founders who have established one of the best brewery cultures in Minnesota.
When it comes to success, both Deb and Jill are incredibly humble. Deb is especially a tough customer when it comes to taking a compliment. I cannot tell you how many times I have congratulated her on something and she has come right back with something else that she wishes could have been better. I guess that you don’t stick around long in the craft beer business if you aren’t constantly looking for ways to improve.
Well, Deb and Jill, I am telling you as an unapologetic fan of what Urban Growler Brewing Company has become, congrats on 5 years! I hope you take time to step back and marvel at what you and your team have built. You have selflessly been beer for us, and now we get to thank you by coming to your birthday party!
